The story I never revealed 🧵
1. Say No To Stability
My job at Goldman Sachs was good; even though the working hours were hectic, I had a comfortable and stable life.
But, I realised later that stability is boring.
I can't build my dream life doing the same thing daily and chilling on the weekends.
2. Builder Awakens
I always love building new things, so I decided to build a startup.
I had no clue how to get started, but I started building in public on Twitter and LinkedIn.
3. Audience Building
I decided to build an audience for my product, so I connected with my target audience, engaged with them and got to know them and their demands better.
4. Hurting Realisation
I realised that it would be better to build a portfolio of small bets, rather than going all in on one thing.
5. ClickUp Micro-Products
I started building ClickUp Micro-Products by knowing the audience's pain points, and these micro-products help me make money while I sleep.
6. Top Product
All of my ClickUp micro-products ended up being in the top 5 products of the day, and that helped to get distribution and generate revenue.
7. Create What You Love
I spent hours analysing what you love to consume, and built content around it to help people learn something new daily.
8. Fall And Rise
I've faced threats from competitors and their bot accounts to not launch on Product Hunt or Twitter, but I kept going.
9. Ask For Pain
I DM people to know their problems and build a micro-product around them.
10. Build In Public
Building in public always helps. You get to know if people really want your product or not and how much they would pay for it before you build it.
Summary:
1. Say 'no' to stability
2. Builder awakens
3. Audience Building
4. Hurting realisation
5. ClickUp micro-products
6. Top product
7. Create what you love
8. Fall and rise
9. Ask for pain
10. Build in public
