Adobe Creative has 26,000,000+ paid users.
But most of you are afraid to even try Photoshop.
Here are 9 of its most useful tools, that anyone can learn in under 60 seconds:
1. Remove anything from a photo:
• Use Lasso tool (shortcut → L)
• Click/draw a circle around the object you want gone (it's okay if it's clunky)
• Right click on the circle, then "Fill"
• Make sure "Content-Aware" is selected, then "OK"
Now it's gone! Simple.
2. Remove/Replace any background:
• Go to Object Selection tool (shortcut→ W)
• Draw rectangle around the subject
• Right click, then "Layer Via Copy" to make two separate layers
• Use Rectangle tool (shortcut → U)
• Draw rectangle & adjust color & layers as needed
3. Change the color of anything:
• Create a new adjustment layer for "Hue/Saturation"
• Select the "Master" drop down, and change it to your subject's main color
• Adjust the hue bar to get the color you want
4. Change image brightness/exposure:
• Go to Image > Auto Contrast
• If that doesn't do enough, go to Image > Adjustments
• The first 4 options will let you manually or automatically change the light
• You can see a preview as you go.
5. Crop any image:
• Use Crop tool (shortcut → C)
You can:
1) Manually use the cropping edges
2) Change the ratio in the top menu dropdown
6. Add unique text:
• Pick the Text tool (shortcut → T) and clock to make a new text layer
• Use menu bar to adjust text as needed
• Use the Move tool (shortcut → V) as needed
• Double-click on the text layer to adjust text styles as needed
7. Reduce the size of any image:
• You can see the size in the lower left-hand corner
• Go to: File > Export > Export As...
• From this box, you can adjust quality, size, and format
• You can see the new size next to the thumbnail on the left
• Click Export to finish
8. Remove blemishes & imperfections:
• Use Spot Healing Brush tool (shortcut → J)
• Size the brush
• Choose brush hardness
• Click on spot or drag over object you want to remove
• Repeat on different spots as needed
9. Whiten teeth:
• Use Lasso tool (shortcut → T)
• Carefully select the teeth, right-click, then "Layer Via Copy"
• Use Dodge tool (shortcut → O)
• Dodge tool settings: 0 hardness, midtones range, and 70% exposure
• Go over with Sponge tool if needed
