I'll start with documented history. Ptolemy XV was born in 47 BCE to Greco-Egyptian Pharoah Cleopatra and Roman dictator Julius Caesar. After the assassination of Julius, Cleopatra had an affair with one of Caesar's commanders, Mark Antony, with whom she had 3 other children....
Cleopatra Selene II, Alexander Helios & Ptolemy Philadelphus. After the defeat of Mark Antony by Caesar's nephew Octavian (who later becomes Emperor Augustus Caesar), Cleopatra commits suicide. Her 3 children with Mark Anthony are taken prisoners to Rome....
and placed in the care of Octavian's sister Octavian the younger, who also happened to be the wife of Mark Antony. Before her death, Cleopatra sends her son Ptolemy XV, along with his guardians to Kush & eventually to India. Octavian, declares himself heir to Julius Caesar....
Fearing any challenge to his claim, Octavian states "too many Caesars is not a good thing" & dispatches assassins to hunt & kill Julius Caesar's son Ptolemy XV. Now, this is were the history gets murky. According to Greco-Roman historian Plutarch, Ptolemy XV escapes to India....
but is lured back to Egypt by Octavian, with the promise of making him ruler of Egypt, but instead strangles him to death. But this narrative only appears in Plutarch's account, with no corroborating sources on the fate of Ptolemy & Plutarch is writing 150 years after the events
In contemporary Roman, Greek & Egyptian sources, Ptolemy escaped to India & is never heard from again. Along with his brothers Ptolemy Philadelphus & Alexander Helios, all 3 of Cleopatra's sons just simply vanish from all historical records. Or did they?...
In 25 BCE, to broker a peace treaty between Rome & the kingdom of Mauretania (modern day Algeria, Tunisia & Morocco) Octavian (now Augustus Caesar) arranges a marriage between Cleopatra Selene (Cleopatra's daughter) & his enemy King Juba II of Mauretania.
Now let's get into the conspiracy theory. Remember, Ptolemy XV escapes Egypt in 35 BCE at age 12, just as Jesus disappears from the Bible at age 12 & only reappears at age 30. The gospel of Mathew tells a story of a young Jesus & his parents fleeing to Egypt to escape king Herod
According to the gospel of Matthew, Herod was the king of Judea who ordered the execution of all male children 2 years & younger in Bethlehem just to kill Jesus. All historians agree this event is entirely fictional....
In actual history, Herod was a close friend of Mark Antony & Cleopatra. In 41 BCE, Mark Antony appointed Herod & his brother Phasael as junior co-rulers of Judea under King Hyrcanus II of Judea. In 40 BCE, King Hyrcanus' nephew Antigonus seizes the throne of Judea from his uncle.
Herod flees to Rome & begs the Roman senate to restore Hyrcanus as King of Judea. Instead, the Roman senate surprisingly appoint Herod himself as King. Herod then travels to Egypt to ask Mark Antony & Cleopatra for help recapturing Judea from Antigonus....
In 37 BCE, Herod with the assistance of Mark Antony's soldiers defeat King Antigonus & capture Jerusalem. Herod then sends Antigonus to Mark Antony in Egypt for punishment. Antigonus is executed by Mark Antony.
Later, during the power struggle between Mark Antony & Octavian, Herod sides with his friends Mark Antony & Cleopatra. After the defeat of Mark Antony by Octavian, Herod seeks to gain the trust of Octavian & remain as king of Judea. So he pledges eternal loyalty to Octavian
Why did Octavian forgive Herod & agree to keep him as King of Judea? My theory is that Herod promised Octavian he would hunt down & kill Ptolemy XV, whom Octavian was actively searching for. Hence, the Biblical story of Jesus & his parents fleeing from King Herod.
In 42 BCE, the Roman senate officially deify Julius Caesar, posthumously declaring him a God. Also note that at Julius Caesar's funeral in 44 BCE, a bright comet appears in the sky, prompting the Romans to drop on their knees worship Caesar as God. ( Star in the east??)
With the deification of Julius Caesar, his only son Ptolemy XV becomes the only begotten son of God & heir to the Kingdom of Heaven (Roman empire).
My theory is that Ptolemy XV remained in India & became acquainted with the teachings of the supreme Buddha (A lot has been written about the similarities between the teachings of Buddha & the doctrine of Christ, so I won't get into all the details here)

There was a book published in 1890 by Russian journalist Nicholas Notovitch. After suffering a broken leg while hiking in the Himalayas, Notovitch was rescued by Tibetan monks & became the first foreigner to reach the Hemis Monastery in the Himalayas.#v=onepage&q&f=false" target="_blank" rel="noopener" onclick="event.stopPropagation()">books.google.com
While at Hemis Monastery, Notovitch claims to have encountered ancient scrolls detailing the life of a Mediterranean prince who escapes persecution, lives in a hiding in a Buddhist Monastery. Notovitch surmises that this story was about Jesus Christ....
As you can imagine, Notovitch & his book have been repeatedly attacked & debunked by historians & Christian apologists. Though I must add, others have come forward claiming to have seen the same ancient texts.
My theory is that those texts are actually describing the life of Ptolemy XV, not Jesus. Ptolemy was a real historical figure & indeed a Mediterranean prince, who is documented as haven't fled persecution to India.
I believe Ptolemy returned to Egypt as an adult & discovers his family has practically been erased & Egypt is firmly within Rome's grip. So he moved next door to Judea, where anti Rome sentiment is more prevalent & the people more revolutionary minded.
In Judea, Ptolemy begins teaching the core principles of Buddhism, with a Greek, Egyptian & Judaic slant ( Christianity) tailored for the local population. While simultaneously gathering a large following, preparing them for revolution against Rome to reclaim his father's empire
Roman Emperor Tiberus, the stepson of Augustus Caesar gets wind that the blood son of Julius Caesar has returned to Judea & claiming to be king. Fearing people will accept Ptolemy as the rightful heir of Julius Caesar, Tiberus has Ptolemy arrested & crucified.
After Ptolemy XV is crucified on the orders of Emperor Tiberus, the Romans set out to erase all accounts of Ptolemy from the history, so no one will ever mention him again. But the story survives & is told in cryptic form as the gospels
Not yet done. There's still a ton of material I'm going to add to the thread
There have been multiple theories arguing that the Biblical Jesus is a simple allegorical retelling of the Horus myth, most notably featured in the documentary Zeitgeist. I don't 100% agree with this theory.

I don't 100% agree with this theory. I believe the Jesus story is actually a retelling of the life of Ptolemy XV, wrapped in Horus mythology
Addendum. Two of Jesus's disciples are name Thomas didymos & Bartholomew. Didymos implies Thomas is a twin in Greek, but to whom? It's never mentioned in the Bible. Alexander Helios was the twin of Cleopatra Selene. While Bartholomew literally means Son of Ptolemy in Hebrew.
