Ok I have been threatening/promising to write this thread for some time now. I have been researching this topic on & off for almost two years. This will be 2 parts cuz I'm going deep

2/ If you Google "how long is a solar year" you will see that it's 365 days.
If you Google "how long is a lunar year" you will see that it's 354 days
If you Google "how long is a lunar year" you will see that it's 354 days
3/ In the Book of Jubilees from the original Bible 6:36-38 tells us that the Sun is the best timekeeper because the Moon comes in 10 days too soon.
4/ Of course now you're probably thinking that there's actually an 11 day difference between a lunar and a solar year, and you would be correct, but an actual year is really 364 days with 4 intercalary days between the seasons
5/ Think summer & winter solstices and the spring & fall equinox and we will come back to this later but first ...
6/ Here in America we use the Gregorian calendar which was introduced in the 16th century and was updated in the 18th century because it had major problems with not aligning with the solstices and equinoxes. To this day it gives us issues calculating Easter.
7/ The Gregorian calendar was based off of the Julian calendar which underwent several modifications over the centuries, but the Julian calendar actually had March as the 1st month of the year.
8/ Spring time, the time of new life marking the new year instead of during the dead of winter. Sounds crazy right? 😆
9/ We can actually see this error looking at the names of the months.
September the prefix sept means 7, the prefix Oct=8
Nov=9 Dec=10 think of the words octagon or decade for examples. Do the math based on these proper prefixes and it puts March at month #1

10/ If you look at some of the names used on the modern Jewish calendar based off the moon those names all come from Babylonian deities. Nisan, Iyar, Aviv, Tammuz. This calendar comes from the Babylonian captivity.
11/ If we look at the ancient account of the Bible and some of the removed books in the Apocrypha it's easy to see that the modern Jewish calendar is not the calendar of the Hebrews (by the way, Jewish & Hebrew are not synonymous words, but we won't digress to that topic here)
12/ The Julian calendar was based on this Babylonian calendar
13/ So this is the end of part 1
Part 2 will potentially be much longer than this first part. If there appears to be a lot of interest in this topic I will post the 2nd part, if not I probably won't bother
