Eric Topol spreads dubious misinformation.
This article (latimes.com) that @EricTopol wrote for the @latimes is full of misleading nonsense. I fact-checked this pseudo-intellectual diarrhoea for you, so you don't have to. Thank me later.
⬇️THREAD⬇️
▶️ "There are 400 to 500 Americans dying of COVID each day"
— well, Eric, "of" ≠ "with". Without the fraudulent test, nobody would have noticed if people died with a median of 82 years.
▶️ "Some percentage of these people who get infected or reinfected will develop long COVID"
— Long-term effects are widespread after being ill. However, that phenomenon primarily seems to appear in mentally unstable persons who suffer from depression or anxiety disorders.
▶️ "It is by no means “zero COVID,” the policy of suppressing all infections, which has proved to be unattainable around the world. But it is achievable."
— I can't stop laughing. Achievable? What a to(p)ol!
▶️ "We should redefine “fully vaccinated” to mean at least three shots, not just the initial two."
— I agree; we definitely need a new definition for healthy people who took the third shot. What about "pitiable propaganda victims"?
▶️ "Then there are the new variants [...] such as BA.2.75.2, which exhibits more evasion of our immune system than any prior version."
— after getting injected with immunosuppressing therapies it's no surprise that new variants (lol) are more capable of evading the immune system
▶️ "[...] truly new vaccines with more powerful nanoparticles containing antigens or mRNA that could take on the entire sarbecovirus family."
— No thanks. I oppose human experiments.
I consider Eric Topol a threat to peaceful coexistence. Over the last 2.5 years, he has continuously spread fear and horror and shared doomsday scenarios that didn't come true.
I'd give him 8 points out of 10 on the Feigl-Ding scale.
