@StatsGH Debit and credit adjustments are part of the Card payment transaction cycle. However, it does not run an account into negative (overdrawn) position.
@StatsGH When a Cardholder performs a transaction, the merchant has a maximum of 8 days to settle the transaction using the prevailing rate for the day and NOT the rate of exchange when the transaction was made.
@StatsGH As a result, settlement (final) amount may differ from the initial amount debited from the customer’s account depending on the exchange rate movement.
If the initial figure was less, the difference will be debited and if it was more, the customer’s account will be credited.
If the initial figure was less, the difference will be debited and if it was more, the customer’s account will be credited.
@StatsGH Customers are always welcome to submit specific cases to us for further investigation.
