that means thousand of years ago, some landslide occurred at Himalaya and material of that landslide kept accumulated there.
It gives 2 findings :
1. load bearing capacity of Joshimath strata is low so there sud not be heavy urbanization coz our homes, flats, hotels

Joshimath is an ancient pilgrimage of Hindus that has Shankaracharya peeth and its said He performed tapasya here around 1400 years ago.
It also have a famous Vishnu temple in Narsimha form.

In 2005, UPA govt when Power Minister was Mr Saeed started to build a huge power plant there. Though there are different opinions about it but some experts say that a tunnel was built there that punctured a water pocket that further reduced load bearing

I still cudn't understand obsession of Hindus for religious tourism.

they sud learn from their role model Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan who follow strict religious practices when they go on their holy places.

- They need to make Insta reels
- They need comfortable hotels
- Some also need beer, non veg
-Some enjoy laser light, loud music, disco
- Comfortable train, 4 lane highway
All these leads to generation of tour n tourism industry

Joshimath is gateway of Badrinath Dham and exactly same happened at Joshimath.
Mishra report was dumped into dustbin and all govts starting with Congress govt did heavy urbanisation there.

- second hint was given in Feb 2021 in Joshimath glacier burst flood where around 50 persons were killed
But no lesson was learnt and unplanned urbanisation work kept going
