If I wanted to scale beyond £5-15k/mo
This would be the EXACT ROADMAP I'd follow.
This will teach you how to:
> Close 6 figure deals
> Reach £100,000 a month in 2023
> Build a business with exitable value
Masterclass Thread🧵 :
In this thread we’ll cover:
- Elite Positioning
- Crafting a Growth Partner offer
- Finding the right leads for the offer
- Selling those leads on £100K+ deals
- Building an 8 figure business
- What not to do
Let’s get into it!
First things first
If you aren’t making at least 5k a month, then this thread isn’t for you
Go deliver a done-for-you service or get a job.
Before you get mad:
The quickest way to build skills and initial cash-flow is learning from successful people and delivering a valuable service.
With that being said, let’s begin
I’ve worked with 20+ people who are stuck at around the £5k/month mark
& helped them 10x their businesses in just a few months
In 2022, I also scaled my 2nd business to £150K MRR & £5M in enterprise value in 8 months
I’m now onto my 3rd.
Truth is:
Scaling is never a skill or IQ problem
The reasons you can’t scale are normally:
- Your positioning is horrible
- Your view of yourself isn’t serving you
- Your offer isn’t building a real business
- You don't know how to sell effectively
- You’re focusing on stupid shit
P.S. you don’t need more copywriting guru courses.
EVERY person stuck at around £5-15k/month
Has at least ONE of these problems.
So how do you solve them?
1st - POSITIONING
Your positioning as a business should be:
You are a 1 of 1 in your market.
I’ve linked my business partners thread on how to do this below.
Now positioning yourself as an individual?
Everything you do & say should scream one thing:
I AM A HIGHLY SKILLED PROFESSIONAL.
If you want to hit those £100k+ months?
You have to convince business owners to give you a lot of cash.
I’m talking minimum:
12 month contracts with
£10-15k setup fees
+
£6k-19k/month retainer
+
5-15% performance fees
That’s the bare minimum client.
These deals build your business and cash flow quick.
1 new deal per month = 1 million runrate in a year.
So in order to convince your prospects to sign these big contracts?
You can’t leave any chance for your prospect to think:
“This guy isn’t serious”
Not one seed of doubt, don’t risk it.
This means you must show up on time, every time.
You must dress sharp & smart for every meeting.
The way you walk, places you go, the things you say should all
Show you’re a professional.
We show you in detail how to position yourself as a professional in our free telegram channel.
But here’s a brief overview too:
t.me
Business owners trust professionals with their money
They know they'll get the job done
A guy that turns up to a call in a snapback and says
“Yeh bruh, we can increase your open rates with email copywriting”
= Casual
Casualness leaves too much doubt in the prospects mind
2nd - YOUR OFFER
Before you coach, sell any physical / digital products or build a SaaS:
Sell a high ticket, done for you service.
Good quality high-growth businesses have more money than time, so CEO’s are always looking for good human resource, because it’s scarce.
Having an actual human they trust is the holy grail for a CEO
Your first offer to £100k should be directly linked to
Helping someone who has a business with money either
Make more money
OR
Save money
A business owner's main concern is increasing profitability.
If you help them do that?
As long as what you’re doing is legal & ethical
They don’t give a fuck how you do it
And you will never have a shortage of clients
Now my first skill I excelled in was sales, so I would gravitate towards offering sales services , mobilising sales teams, & systemising sales
But I’m not limited to sales
I do everything in my power to drive revenue
Marketing, CEO coaching, Hiring
The same goes for any other skill
If you’re good at marketing, you’d plug yourself into their marketing side
But you’d also do everything else you can to drive revenue!
A formula we use for our 6 figure offers:
How {{niche}} can {{transformation}} in {{timeframe}} without {{biggest pain point}} in {{timeframe}}, guaranteed.
Specific niche. Outline revenue growth in timeframe. Without doing something they always do.
The transformation is always a revenue increase!
Now this offer captures attention , but doesn’t get the deal over the line…
Here’s how you sell it and actually get money in the bank:
3 - SELLING CONTRACTS WORTH £100K+
I close 90% of the sales calls I go on. & 100% of perfect fits.
Not because I’m a good salesman.
But because of the process I have, the logic I use, and the trust I build.
The first thing I do with leads?
Do a deep dive discovery to vet and disqualify bad leads.
A bad lead turns into a bad business relationship.
& bad relationships slow you down a lot when trying to scale.
The graphic below details my process
More criteria for a good lead:
- Over 30 years old
- Must be emotionally stable
- Desire & ability to invest in growth
- The owner of a private business with good cash flow
Most of this can be done before the initial meeting, the rest checked on the first step of sales process
Then you run them through a sales process to seal the deal.
The full 15-page breakdown of this sales process I used to sign dozens of £100k+ deals in 2022 is pinned in this Telegram
But I’ll give a quick run down here too…
t.me
First, as mentioned before, do a deep discovery for up to an 1 hour
During the discovery process, disqualify with checkpoints,
Here’s a basic version of the questions you should ask to line up a sale:
Where they are now + where they want to be?
What’s stopping them from getting there?
What plans do they have to solve that problem?
What have they tried in the past?
What are they currently doing for <your skillset>? Go much deeper here. Specifics.
From here, at least one
major problem will pop up that you can help solve with your skillset.
After the discovery, if it’s a good fit, schedule a follow up sales call where you ask their permission to present a growth plan that will help them get to the goal.
On the sales call, simply present…
A logical plan around how you can solve this problem they mentioned with your skillset, step by step.
Remember: businesses always want increased revenue.
So whatever the plan is, you must link it back to the vision & desire of increased revenue!
Again, a more detailed breakdown of this process is free in the Telegram.
I highly recommend you check it out.
In a nutshell:
Find out their deepest pains and desires related to their business.
Then...
Paint a vision based on their desires
& present a tailor made logical plan for them to reach these desires without their pains
Always showcase evidence.
Now onto the final key part of how to scale to £100,000+ months…
4 - DELIVERING ON A 6-FIGURE DEAL
Whether it’s business or personal, most relationships fail because of poor communication.
Bad relationships lead to people leaving, which you can’t have if you want to grow a 7 or 8 figure business.
12 month contracts require you to constantly sell the vision & give updates on what you’ve done, what you’re doing, and what you’re going to do. Work harder on the business than the CEO!
The Graphic below details exactly what I do to keep my partners (they’re not “clients” to us) happy throughout our 12 month contract.
I’ve never had anyone leave us because I follow it to a T.
And finally, all of this is good…
But if you’re focusing on the wrong things
&
your view of self doesn’t align to your goals
You will never be able to scale to big numbers & reading this has been a waste of your time.
Only ever achieving 5% of your full potential.
5 - WHAT NOT TO DO
Don’t build a personal brand. Yet.
Too many people are obsessed with “building in public”
That’s just an excuse to get distracted by social media.
Document what you’re doing, yes.
But you don’t need to post about it daily.
Think of it this way:
Would people listen to Alex Hormozi if he wasn’t rich?
No!
They’d just think he’s some weird jacked dude that wears crocs and drives a prius.
No one would care.
Would people listen to Warren Buffet if he wasn’t rich?
No! This is the reason he wanted to make money!
The money is why people pay attention.
Get success before you start talking on social media.
You need something to back up what you say!
6 - YOUR VIEW OF YOURSELF
Many entrepreneurs think they need more skills but…
They actually need the direction or confidence required.
This will not be solved by reading Psycho Cybernetics, but that’s a good place to start.
So here are 3 Rules:
1/ In life, recognize that no one is above or below you. Doesn’t matter where you’re from, your gender, anything. Stop using it as an excuse. Some people have been dealt a better hand. Others have it worse.
2/ Stop making judgements of yourself and others. Let go of guilt. If you’ve done something wrong. Fix it. Guilt is a useless emotion.
3/ Imposter syndrome is BS. It’s used as an excuse. The real word is fear. Outwork your fear. Take action.
Now I’ve spent time with 1 billionaire, 20+ multi millionaires, friends with millions of followers and it’s not just about money or your network.
But money is a measure of man's actions.
Money gives you freedom, opportunity and experiences.
So what’s the difference between the haves and have nots?
The action they take on a daily basis for a long time period.
CONSISTENCY.
For this you need a mentor or mentors you can trust.
Some of mine are paid, some are friends. I find value in both.
Main decision making criteria in selecting a mentor:
1/ Who’s done and achieved what you desire to get you to the next level
2/ You respect and trust
3/ Who has your best interest in mind
But remember, your mentors aren’t going to do it for you.
They’re the guide. You have to take every step!
So a quick summary of this master thread:
1 - Positioning
Position your business as a 1 of 1
Position yourself as a skilled professional
2 - Offer
A high ticket, done for you service.
Base it around increasing revenue.
Partners > Clients
3 - Closing
Heavily vet leads
Then do deep Discovery’s to understand pains & desires
Then present a logical plan for them to get their desires while removing their pains by utilising your unique skill set.
Back the plan up by showcasing evidence.
Prove you will work harder than they will on their business.
Do it right and your closing rate will skyrocket.
4 - Delivery
Get a quick win right away.
You must communicate
- What you’ve done
- What you’re doing
- What you’re going to do
- Have a reporting call every week, month, & Quarter.
Work harder than the CEO!
5 - What not to do
Don't focus too early on building a personal brand.
Focus on increasing your cash & success in the real world.
People listen when your words are backed by results.
6 - How you view yourself
Most of you have the skills it takes
But you don’t have the direction or confidence required.
Mindset shifts you need:
No one is above you or below you
Don’t make judgements on others
Let go of guilt, just fix what you did wrong
Imposter syndrome is BS. Take action. Action is the antidote to fear.
Finding a mentor is the best way to get the direction and confidence you require to scale to those £100k+ months.
Some mentors you pay, some are friends.
Find a mentor who’s achieved similar to what you want
You must trust him, and know that he has your best interest in mind
