What you know about software is about to get completely turned on its head
What if AI could eliminate all future bugs?
Or make sure your website/application was always running?
Just like we have bots on slack/discord, will we have bots on our GitHub repos or production code?
Imagine a AI bot deployed in your production environment, that constantly evaluate live code and connect with your task management system, if a bug is found, it makes adjustment to the broken code and deploy, all without the need for human intervention.
Another AI is responsible for doing QA, making sure it writes the necessary tests, and execute them, might even go the extra mile and drop a report, and communicate back with the bug bot
What if there was an uptime/status/devops AI, that only had one task, keep the site running no matter what.
Maybe I’m late to the party and services like this already exist.
But to me, this sounds like pure magic. Synthetic bots that constantly scans and evaluate, write and deploy its own code based on core directives.
It’s hard to try to guess how the software world will look like in just a few years, yet alone one or two decades.
