I am asking people to help me with this one because I don't want to get it wrong ...
Off the top of my constant buzzing could be tinnitus, it could be Autistic hyper senses, or it could be any number of hallucinatory effects.
I am not qualified to list all of the hallucinatory effects .. and I only have very mild tinnitus so I can't speak much to that ... in absolute silence I tend to hear a constant and perceived loud tone ... which I understand to be tinnitus-like ...
but with Autistic hypersensitive hearing you might pick up on electronic humming which can come from virtually anything electronics ... basically ... go outside and away from any Transformers or anything like that and see if the noise goes away ...
Depending on how sensitive your hearing is ... which is both a factor of frequency range and amplitude ... you might be able to test it just from unplugging all the electronics and shutting off the lights ... but if you are really sensitive you might pick up the wiring.
the other way to test if you have really sensitive hearing is to go to a Best Buy or similar and use one of their Demo High end @Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones ...
I wept the first time I tried them ... just cried .. I am tearing up right now thinking about it.
I wore those things into the ground ... literally every minute ... waking an sleeping ... until they literally fell apart from use .. I can't afford a replacement pair but ... damn ... as Xander said "I like the Quiet"
damn ... miss those
