Imagine trying to construct a tall skyscraper for which U spend yrs building d foundation. But after constructing a few floors, U discard it & then start all over again at some other location, thereby losing precious time & resources, which in turn drags you back by several yrs๐
This is exactly what happened with India's growth story post independence. Throughout d 19th century & 1st half of 20th century, Calcutta had established itself as d defacto hub for everything from industries to arts to intellectual spheres to technologies to industries .๐
But"intellectualism" &"success" has its own downsides,as it tends to instill a sense of superiority among the masses & it was one of the reasons why most of d educated ppl got carried away by Marxist ideologies ,resulting in gradual but complete collapse of Calcutta & Bengal ๐
Had d Bengali intellectuals not embraced Marxism, the city with such deep economic/industrial foundation wouldโve taken our nation to great heights within a matter of decades. But d commies who had ruined d Bengali mindset had their own plans,as they curbed every possible growth๐
& literally strangled India for 3 decades! However, thanks to bold reforms like liberalization & initiatives of IT revolution, our nation managed to pick up pace from 1990s,& we are now finally in a position to aspire becoming a developed nation. ๐
The only moral of this story which every Indian should be taught right from their childhood: "Never ever allow Commies to even come close to us, let alone influenching us". As long as we keep that in mind, nothing can stop our nation from reaching its true potential.
