All the 73 sects in Islam claim to follow Quran and Sunnah of the prophet. So how do you determine the correct path? Your answers are in the Quran and Sunnah you claim to follow. 🧵
Allah ﷻ said: Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind): "If you (really) love Allah then follow me,...
Allah will love you and forgive you of your sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."
In another verse He ﷻ said: "And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger
after the right path has been shown clearly to him, and follows other than the believers' way, We
shall keep him in the path he has chosen, and burn
him in Hell-— what an evil destination!"
The Prophet ﷺ said: "This Ummah will split up into 73 sects all of whom will go to the fire except one." He was asked which is the saved sect? He replied "He who is upon the like of what
I am upon today and my Companions are upon." In another Hadith he said: "The best of you, are my contemporaries, then those who follow them, then those who will come after them. ('Imran said, I do not know if he said this twice or thrice)...."
With these in mind, it should be
Clear to any person with sound intellect that for one to worship Allah ﷻ the way He ought to be worship, he has to follow what the Prophet ﷺ said and did the way the Sahabah did and taught their students and the students taught their students. Anything that comes after this
3 golden generations cannot and will not be part of the Deen.
So ask yourself (who know you better than you?) Do your acts of worship fall in line with the actions of these 3 generations? Do not let the devil trick you into falling into controversial actions or acts that are not
Certain.
"Whatever is not part of the Deen at the time of the prophet ﷺ, will never be part of the Deen now". The prophet ﷺ is more knowledgeable about Allah ﷻ than you, more eager to earn rewards than you; The Sahabah were also more knowledgeable about the Deen
Than you, they yearn for any action that leads to rewards than you; so are the 2 generation after them. So whenever you think something ought to be in the Deen, check and see if it is inline with what these 3 generations did, if so, go ahead and do it because it is the truth.
If you cannot find clear evidence for it, leave it, Wallahi it is misguidance, and misguided only takes one to hell.
In the end, remember, the heart will always justify its actions. Your justifications should always be clear evidence from Qur'an, Sunnah and understanding of the
3 pious generations. That is the Islam the prophet ﷺ came and approved of. That is the correct path.
