I soured on feminism when I noticed that it was less interested in charging women with full autonomy (including the autonomy to make poor choices and to desire things that weren’t “politically correct”) and more in divesting them from any responsibility
#MeToo presented a Gordian knot in which female desire/sexual calculation ran counter to the sexual mores of "egalitarian" liberal culture...this problem was solved by imputing blame on male "perpetrators," at the cost of accounting for the shadow side of sex relations
either you cultivate women as rational, self-aware agents with ability to make own decisions, or you treat them as children divested of responsibility but also culpability--what we have instead is a dysfunctional combo of both, aka they inculpable but given full privileges
