Weekly dose of what's working in the FB ad account #10
No surprises this week, it's --> Advantage Shopping+ Campaigns
Some accounts have over 50% of the budget in this campaign(s)
How do I maximize the efficiency of those campaigns for my clients?
Learn below:
1. I'm running on
1-day click or
7-day click
attribution setting
Otherwise, you are risking FB over-attributing A LOT of view-through conversions that are not so incremental.
2. Cap budget buyers to max 10%
Again, I want to avoid non-incremental conversions, so I treat our ASC+ purely as prospecting
Capping the budget for buyers' audience does exactly that
After installing the cap your FB ROAS could look worse, but your NB/TW ROAS should improve
3. Creatives
I import proven winners from the account, as this campaign type uses learning from the existing ads
TIPS
Be aware of importing IG stories/reels as they get cropped and look funny
Be aware of catalog ads - they tend to get favored by FB and spend most of the budget
4. Optimization
I import new winners once a week or when I see a performance dip.
Increase the budget as you would in your regular campaign, although ASC+ is less budget responsive (so far)
When creating new ASC+ make sure to use different creatives than in your active ASC+
Bonus 1
Something new I'm testing is doing my creative tests in ASC+
So far it looks promising
Bonus 2
I had some success separating 1 ASC+ for statics, and 1 for videos during the sale periods, as often CPMs are different for those creatives
