Marriage is all about understanding. A lot behind closed doors, and what's brought to the public is usually a tip of the iceberg.
That said, understanding and moderacy is key. If you're too "bossy" at home, and spend more time asserting your dominance over your wife, than being

considerate, you should pray you never lose your job, fall sick, or suffer a mishap.
Anything that makes you lose the power you wielded over your wife to instill your will—rather than exercising moderacy—will be synonymous to you dying.
Because if your wife is the unforgiving

one who can save a grudge in the coldest of safe boxes, she will make your life miserable.
And the funny thing is that it's the "submissive" women who do worst when the man has "fallen", and the shock at seeing the tables turning viciously is heart crushing.

If you want to be a "strong" husband, ensure you retain your strength till death takes you away. The day you lose it is the day your death begins.
I'm not married, but I've seen a couple of marriages where things went this way.
The powerful man of the house became nothing in

his own home, after losing his power.
The once meek wife took the reins of power and hell was let loose on the man who had oppressed her for years.
Be the leader and king of your home, but don't be a tyrant.
