Persuasion is a Money-Printing skill for business in 2023.
But 95% of people fail at mastering it.
Here are 6 Principles of Persuasion that'll help you persuade your clients (for anything):
1) Reciprocity
Give to get.
Give something to someone and they'll be obligated to give you something in return.
Provide people with:
• Benefits
• Information
• Positive mood
And you will easily persuade them.
2) Liking
According to the data,
88% of people who have similarities, like each other.
Attach themselves to you and you'll 100% persuade them.
How to get that liking?
• Give genuine compliments.
• Show their problems as yours.
• Put yourself in the same boat as them.
3) Authority
People want to agree or work with true experts.
You must be good enough in your skill to present that authority.
Show them your:
• Results
• Solid connections
• Previous work records
Also, express your belief and confidence in the act.
4) Scarcity
Sell your uncommonness.
Make them believe that you have something they can't get anywhere else.
But the thing you are offering is limited.
This tactic will generate scarcity and they'll be obligated to say yes to your offer.
5) Consistency & Commitment
People have a natural ability to want to be consistent with their past actions and decisions.
When someone makes a commitment to something, they are more likely to follow through with it.
For persuasion, first, make them agree on a small thing.
Here's how it works:
Make your client agree with a fact about you.
Let's say; make them agree that the product is fantastic and get them on a free trial.
It is more likely they will purchase from you later.
6) Consensus
This is similar to authority.
Humans are social animals.
If the majority of people agree on a fact, more chance is the next person will also agree with it.
So, show them social proof with:
• Ratings
• Testimonials
They will be more convinced to work with you.
