By the end, you can tell the author (ghostwriter?) has given up even trying. It thrashes shallowly from Thielian technological stagnation to Burnhamian professional-managerial-class blameism to tepid China alarmism before warning you not to eat seed oils
and then, like every other sad secretion of con inc., it finishes with an exhortation that SOMEONE really needs to figure out a way for us to all start believing in America again if we're ever going to get out of this mess
