1) Everyone is telling you that life-changing opportunities are made in a bear market but none of them are sharing how.
These are the strategies I use myself to lay the foundation in a bearish environment 👇 🧵
2) In this thread I'll be sharing 3 strategies to be utilized for both beginner and expert.
1️⃣ Beginner strategy
2️⃣ Intermediate strategy
3️⃣ Advanced strategy
Each strategy depends on your time, commitment and experience but more importantly ALL of them work.
3) 1️⃣ Enhanced DCA
One of the most recommended and proven methods to building a portfolio is ''dollar cost average''.
Spreading your purchase into smaller pieces over a longer period to create a strong average.
The strategy is great for beginners but also has its flaws.
4) While timing bottoms or tops are near impossible, most people can at least tell whether we are in a bull or a bear market.
We can see when assets are dramatically rising or dropping after all.
Consider to dollar cost average only in a bearish environment.
5) A good general rule of thumb would be to only make DCA purchases when an asset has at least more than 70% drawdown.
While averaging your purchase through bull and bear isn't bad it also means you aren't really selling when you should the most.
Which is in a bullish market.
6) While ''normal'' DCA usually serves you well on the long run we can all agree it wouldn't have made any life-changing differences the last 5 years.
Slightly enhancing this strategy would have served you much more and arguable still will in the future.
7) 2️⃣ Asset swapping
This is really one of my favourite methods I apply all the time yet doesn't get used by many.
At some point your capital is gone. You can't keep buying the dip and there is no magical pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Trust me, I looked!
8) Lots of people forget that your other cryptocurrencies in your portfolio are also a source of free capital to be used.
Yet many of you aren't willing to sell these positions because these are ''under water''.
You don't want to sell these at a loss right?
9) You actually don't sell these at a loss at all IF the other cryptocurrency you are looking to purchase is also heavily down.
Let's say you bought crypto X at 10$ and it dropped to 3$.
Meanwhile crypto Y has dropped from 20$ to 6$.
They are both at the same discount levels.
10) The only thing you are doing is switching the opportunity.
Unless we play ignorant, we can all agree that at some point your investment isn't the same project it was before right?
A change in leadership, lack of marketing or just a series of lacking updates.
11) As a good investor we always re-evaluate our decisions and adapt to the bigger opportunity.
We all do right? 😄
You might still have a small amount of conviction in that investment but if there is another you recently discovered that looks better you should take it.
12) Chances are pretty high that the other opportunity is also down from the highs (courtesy of the bear).
Unless you are selling it back to fiat and withdraw it back to your bank you aren't selling it at a loss.
You are just adapting to a better opportunity.
13) 3️⃣ Stablecoin position
Holding stablecoins is a position and opportunity itself.
Not all of your risk capital is meant to be used to make purchases in the market.
There are going to be opportunities that haven't presented themselves yet.
14) This is the nature of this ever evolving market.
If you open yourself up to everything the market has to offer TODAY, there won't be an option for you to participate into it anymore.
If you are still 60% in stables, consider never dropping lower than 20%.
15) Think about a presale launching soon.
If there's no free capital on the side, there's no allocation to fill.
Most of us know how rewarding these presales can really be if you discovered a really good one.
16) Make the bear market great again with these 3 strategies.
Utilizing any of these will hopefully enrich and enlarge the opportunity you have before you.
I know they have for me. Nova out ❤
