HOW TO AVOID BURNOUT IN 2023:
Burnout is a state of physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion caused by stress.
It can be caused by:
- Work overload
- Unsupportive colleagues
- Lack of control over your life
- Unsupportive family members
Burnout is just a temporary state, here's how you can tackle it:
1. Identify the Signs:
To tackle burnout, you first have to identify its signs & symptoms.
You may feel:
- Irritated
- Exhausted
- Unmotivated
- Overwhelmed
- Lack of inspiration
- Difficulty concentrating
2. Take Time for Yourself:
Make sure to take time for yourself each day to relax and recharge.
This could include activities such as:
- Reading a book
- Listening to music
- Engaging in a hobby
- Going for a walk or jog
3. Prioritize Your Tasks:
Make sure to prioritize your tasks so that you are not overwhelmed by too many things at once.
Break down large tasks into smaller ones and focus on one task at a time.
Do this:
- Break yearly goals into monthly
- Break monthly goals into daily
5. Get Enough Sleep:
Make sure that you are getting enough sleep each night.
Deep sleep helps you:
- Recharge your body
- Refreshes your mind
Sleep at the same time so that your body has time to rest and recover from the day’s activities.
6. Exercise Regularly:
Exercise can help reduce stress levels and improve overall well-being.
Other benefits of exercising:
- Build muscle
- Increase stamina
- Higher self-confidence
Make sure that you are getting regular physical activity each week.
