In the last 400 days:
→Launched +50 products
→Generated $47,000+ revenue
→Built a 48K audience on Twitter
Here are 15 lessons I learned while on this crazy, life-changing journey:
No more thinking, start doing.
Don't let ideas marinate for too long or they'll go bad.
Start building your idea (in public) and watch what happens.
Let the market tell you what it wants
Many people say to validate the fuck out of your idea.
I say, if you have the time, built the MVP and launch it fast.
Then customize it to solve more problems for people afterward.
Building an audience is the foundation.
Don't make the mistake of waiting to build your audience.
Set up a schedule to create content and engage from the get-go.
This will accumulate as you build your product to provide value for you, in the long term.
Don't get stuck on planning
There's always a smarter way to do things.
But if you focus too much on streamlining processes too early, you'll regret it.
Focus on the things that output value: building, launching, marketing.
Charge money.
You can build a huge audience by providing free value first and then selling later.
Or you can realize that the work you do is valuable and charge right away.
There are people with 500 followers making more money than people with 50,000. Think about that.
Provide value.
No matter if you charge or not or if you have products or just make content:
Always put value first with everything you do.
Ask, "Does this provide value?" and act accordingly.
Be exceptional.
With everything you do, be exceptional.
Customer service? Exceptional.
Products? Exceptional.
Content? Exceptional.
Offer? Exceptional.
In return, your results will be exceptional.
Motivation is temporary, discipline is forever.
Motivation is a feeling. Feelings come and go.
Discipline is a muscle. Muscles can be trained.
Go for discipline, not motivation.
Ship faster.
Have an idea? Build a prototype.
Have a prototype? Share it publicly.
Have users? Monetize.
Repeat. It's that simple.
Experiment.
Try out new things:
- New marketing channels
- New product niches
- New marketplaces
Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't.
Double down on what does and cut the rest.
If you're looking to do the same as I did, you should consider this:
