2 years ago I hadn't made a single dollar online
I've now made over $60k from 6 simple ebooks
Here's how you can productize your knowledge [by writing about what you love]:
The first ebook I ever wrote still pays me $700 per month
(even though I only spend 15 min a week maintaining it)
I've written 5 more since then and am sharing my entire process in this thread
[plus there's a free gift at the end that will 10x your success]
So, let's dive in
1. Idea
Everyone has something they can write an ebook about
Think about:
• Your Passions
• Your transformations
• Problems you've solved
Put everything you think of in a list
You'd be surprised at what niches make $1000s per month:
• Beards
• Beekeeping
• Seed Saving
1.a niche selection
A good niche has 5 qualities:
• You like it
• It solves a primal problem (Money, relationships, health)
• You want this to be your brand
• There are enough sub-niches for 3 books
• Other people are writing about it
on Amazon too
Pick one from your list
2. Spider web diagram
This is crucial for organizing your book
Spider web diagrams:
• get all your thoughts on paper
• make outlining 10x easier
• pull out sub-niches
(Messy is fine)
Here's mine for my upcoming course "Productized Creator" - (passive income with ebooks)
3. Outline
Pull one niche from your spider diagram and start your outline
Your goal: step-by-step manual for beginners
• intro
• 8-12 chapters
• outro
Each chapter needs:
• Main Point
• 10 talking points
• Links to research
(ChatGPT is great for this)
4. Write (or outsource)
Your book must be good quality to get 5-star reviews
I wrote 4 of my ebooks (& 😍l it)
But you should outsource if:
• You have $700
• You hate Writing
• You want it done fast
I loved using Theurbanwriters.com (for 10% off: CatsCrew)
4.a Writing the book
If you don't have $700 that's ok
Writing a book is not that hard - especially if you have a great outline
it's like writing a research paper but 100x easier because you love the subject
If you've ever taken an English class you can write an ebook
4.b Outsourcing
If you outsource:
• Ask for a sample before you hire
• Pick a ghostwriter who loves the niche
• Create a thorough outline including anecdotes
No matter the skill of the ghostwriter, these tips will give you a higher-quality book
5. Keywords
Keywords are what people search for
Your book has 1 main keyword (niche) & many sub-kwds
Ex:
Main: Raising Capital for Real Estate
Sub: Attract Investors, Establish Cred, Fund Deals
Find them in:
• other books
• Amazon's suggested
• Google keyword planner
6. Title
A great title is a mix of keywords and copywriting
Keywords: algorithm knows who wants it
Copywriting: convinces them to buy
Look at other books in your niche for inspiration
Here's an example:
The niche is in the title and the copywriting is in the sub-subtitle
7. Cover
People do judge a book by its cover, so yours needs to look professional:
1. Find 5-10 books in your niche
2. Decide what you like
3. Hire an artist on Fiverr to make it (~$10)
(Or make it yourself for free with Canva)
partner.canva.com
8. Blurb
If people like your cover they'll read your blurb
This is where you sell your book
The format:
• Hook
• Reader's current situation
• Benefits of reading the book
• End Transformation
• CTA
Use other books for inspiration (Copy.ai if you're new)
9. Reviews
After you've published on Amazon you need to collect reviews
It's crucial to have more reviews than other ebooks in your niche
3 ways to do it:
1. Use pubby.co
2. Use FB groups, trade your book for a review
3. Use FB ads, trade your book for a review
10. Ads
Don't turn them on until you have 10 reviews
You need social proof to sell your book
Explaining ads would take at least an hour
So, if you want to know more - I have a gift for you at the end
TL;DR
1. Idea
2. Spider web diagram
3. Outline
4. Write (or outsource)
5. Keywords
6. Title
7. Cover
8. Blurb
9. Reviews
10. Ads
If you got value from this thread I have a gift for you:
I'm creating a course that will teach you to make passive income with ebooks
I plan to sell it for $200 but I'll DM it to you for free if you:
1. Follow
2. Comment "BOOK"
3. RT the first tweet
Thanks for reading!
