Music is most beautiful and pure form of art ever invented.
Hans Zimmer has shown his work in 10+ artistic masterpieces including:
• Dark Knight
• Interstellar
• Inception
• Dune
Here are 12 works of his genius mind to keep your creativity at all times high.
—Thread🧵—
1/ "TIME" from Inception
This is preferably my first interaction with his works - ever.
I can't get enough of this theme - it's both fitting, saddening and uplifting at the same time.
Here is what I do when I'm listening to it:
• Writing stories
• Journaling
• Thinking
2/ "THE MOLE" from Dunkirk
This is the most unsettling and scary of his works for me.
Both desperate and thrilling, it keeps the listeners attention at all times high.
Here is when you should listen to it:
• When working out
• If you are on your "villain revenge arc"
3/ "MOUNTAINS" from Interstellar
Funnily enough, the title resembles tidal sea waves, caused by gravitation of nearby black hole that the planet orbits.
Every tick resembles one day passing back on Earth, due to time dilation.
• This is an ultimate song to spark creativity
4/ "PAUL'S DREAM" from Dune
This theme encompasses exoticism, mystery and uncertainity.
It works great to spark both islamic and desert vibes too.
Stellar work, best suited to fuel your thoughts.
• Best used to ponder your thoughts
• Great to create themed ideas
5/ "SHORTENING OF THE WAY" from Dune
This theme is the pinnacle of exoticism and feeling of unknown.
The singular phrase describing it would be "ancient future".
Just listen to it, please.
• It allows us to get the best of our subconscious thoughts
6/ "WHY DO WE FALL" from Dark Knight Rises
This theme is a mixup of positive and negative, sad emotions.
It embodies both hope and state of distress.
• Great for creating emotional, comparing works
• Good to ponder about the meaning of the life
7/ "FLIGHT" from Man of Steel
Critically underaprecciated movie, with critically undervalued story.
It embodies Superman in humane way - showing his struggles and pains.
This theme however, underlines hope.
• Great to uplift your mood
• Amazing for writing good stories
8/ "GENERAL ZOD" from Man of Steel
This is prefferably one of the most misunderstood characters of all time.
His theme encompasses love for his homeworld, coupled with ruthless fight to preserve his ideology.
• It's great for writing indepth fantasy
• Great for thinking
9/ "NOW WE ARE FREE" from Gladiator
Some set the bar high - and grant it the title of best Zimmer work of all time.
For me, it's great, but not that great - however you can't deny its beauty.
• Ultimate mood uplifter
• Nice to have around if you just need the vibes
10/ "MOLOSSUS" from Batman Begins
- "Hey, what do you listen to when grinding in the gym?"
- "I bust some classical energetic music, hbu?"
In all honesty, this is the ultimate motivation track.
• Listen to it when grinding in the gym
11/ "SPECTRES IN THE FOG" from Last Samurai
A bit of a personal bias - I love japanese culture.
And this strongly reminds me of it, the vibes, the setting - everything is perfect.
• Stellar for calming your mind
• Amazing to gather your thoughts and ideas
12/ "THE KRAKEN" from Pirates of Carribean
This is the last appetiser here - simply a beautiful theme, mixes fear and strong emotions together.
Stellar song, the crescendo hits hard. Better than the movie.
• Simply great to listen to
• Energetic, lifts mood up
I can't list all of his brilliant works - he is so good that I would have to list 90% of his works.
However, these are notable works he made music for:
• Dune
• Inception
• Interstellar
• Gladiator
• Batman Saga
• Da Vinci Code
• Last Samurai
• Pirates of Carribean
Now, go fuel your creativity with those masterpieces!
I hope that you enjoyed.
