7 sneaky habits that are slowly ruining your life:
1. Being late
One of the worst habits of all.
It's a sign of not being dependable.
It shows that you can't manage your time.
It's a signal to others that your time is more important than theirs.
It's fine if it happens once in awhile. But if it's chronic you got problems.
2. Sitting under fake lights
A major cause of depression is sitting inside & not getting enough sun or nature on your body.
Overexposure to fake light can also cause vision problems over time.
We were not meant to live under fake lights. We were meant to be outside in nature.
3. Sitting at desks
Our hunter-gatherers would average 16,000-17,000 steps a day. Now a 20-minute walk is considered exercise.
We were not meant to sit at a desk for 8 hours a day.
If you want your brain & body to work better, you need to get up from your desk and MOVE.
4. Drinking alcohol
Alcohol is one of the worst toxins you could put in your body.
It's trading a few hours of numbing yourself for a few days of feeling like shit.
There is no health benefit to drinking it & it pushes us further away from the emotions we are feeling.
5. Hanging around shitty people
You are the average of the 5 people you hang around most.
There are some people in your life you keep around for comfort & obligation.
To grow you ruthlessly eliminate people who aren't in line with your vision or values.
6. Not allowing yourself to be bored
We've turned into a generation where we can't sit with ourselves.
Being bored helps to see how we think. It's also a gateway to creativity.
We need to allow ourselves to sit & do nothing. This helps us get more in touch with ourselves.
7. Reading other people's thoughts on social media
The more you consume other people's thoughts the more you drown out your own.
We were not meant to have access to this many opinions being thrown at us.
To think for ourselves we need to make room for our own thoughts.
Do an audit of your habits. What do you need to get rid of to become the best person you can be?
Start there, be ruthless & eliminate.
