6 rules for the perfect weekly schedule:
(without the cold plunges and woo-woo bullshit)
1. Conductor Meetings
This is my foundation.
Without it, the rest of the schedule doesn’t work.
Once a week, have a team meeting that lets you:
- See the field (what's going on)
- Help make faster decisions
- Set pace for action
2. Genius Meetings
Everyone has a zone of genius.
Carve time out weekly to work with the people/teams in your business that fall within your zone of genius.
I’m the CEO of a 100+ person company.
I spend most of my time with our marketing/creative teams.
3. Schedule Boredom
This has been one of the most transformative for me.
Chances are you are a knowledge worker of some kind.
Having unstructured free time to let your mind reset + wander is critical.
Genius comes from the abyss.
Embrace it.
4. Deep Work
Set aside a meaningful block of time every day to do deep, solo work.
Whatever this looks like for you.
Every great entrepreneur is also a practitioner.
And like anything else in life, reps matter.
5. Self Care
You don’t need a dozen daily habits.
Invest time in the big ones:
- Exercise
- Diet
- Relationships / Community
They're trite because they're true.
6. Values
If you don’t have a list of personal values, make a list.
Then pick one or two and schedule time for it.
I value time in nature.
So I schedule that daily.
Never sacrifice your values for your work.
TL;DR - 6 rules of a perfect weekly schedule.
1. Conductor Meetings
2. Genius Meetings
3. Schedule Boredom
4. Deep Work
5. Self Care
6. Values
