Many have asked me how to get started into mobile games development by DM lately
Here are the basic steps
🧡 πŸ‘‡
Download Unity and Blender, both free softwares to build games for iOS, Android and other platforms, and to create 3D objects to implement in your scenes
Youtube is a free university, so get there and search for beginner tutorials to get started with Unity and Blender
You may start by watching my tips πŸ‘‡
cutt.ly
Once you’ll get familiar with the interface and commands of Unity and Blender, and the fundamentals of C# scripting, start sketching your game idea
I suggest you to start with mobile games because everybody has got a smartphone so chances to sell your games are high
Sketch your scenes, home screen, settings, levels, characters, environments, etc.
Then get to Unity and create your scenes
Export your 3D objects from Blender into FBX files, and drag them into the Assets folder of Unity
Use a 2D Canvas to build UI menus
Once your game is ready, enroll for an iOS developer program on the Apple Developer Portal ($99/year), and for a Google Play Developer account ($25 one-time fee)
Build the Xcode project for iOS and the Bundle APK for Android and upload them to the App and Play Store
Once your game will be live, consider performing ASO (App Store Optimization)
That involves choosing the right keywords, design and description text to make your game discoverable through searches on the mobile stores
I use @appradar_com for ASO, great tool for that job
Another thing to keep in account is to use in-game Ads and IAP (In-App Purchase) to either remove ads and unlock features, or get extra coins/gems, skins, levels, etc.
IAP is the best way to monetize the hard work you put into building your games when it comes to mobile apps
Also important, get inspired by others
Study games in the same niche of your idea, concept, features, etc.
Think about what extras you can add to make your game original
Don’t look for perfection, updates will come later, listen to customers feedback!
And have fun πŸ”₯
