@WalkofV It may be a fair comparison insofar as such demeaning (though not yet genocidal) treatment of Yahudas did precede the h’caust for centuries.

@WalkofV Not saying that the dravidianist persecution of TBs in the 60/70s (something my late father & grandfather both witnessed) will lead to a genocide but there is a place for comparison.

@WalkofV You can’t make sexual/fetish jokes about any other caste’s women with impunity in a movie openly & tuft/thread-cutting has taken place in even the last few years. I mean, there is acknowledgment by Soriyār himself that he was inspired by Nazi diatribe about the Yahudas.

@WalkofV And @/zeneraalstuff & myself have done quite a few threads comparing Dravidianist & Nazi portrayals of Broms (In general as well as TBs in specific) & Yahudas, respectively. You can check them out. The similarities are uncanny & telling.

@WalkofV In short, there is no need to satisfy such a high threshold (h’caust, gas chambers, etc) to merit that comparison. The caricatures, the normalisation of abuse & sexuaization in discourse, the cutting of tufts/sacred threads (as limited as these incidents are) are good enough.
