Remember when people commit acts of Islamophobia and racism, they want us to slink away in our corners and stop expressing our faiths openly. Even though it becomes many of our defense instincts to start doing that, please resist. The second we do that, their bigotry wins.

Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him) was offered amnesty by Ibn Daghinah from the tortures of the Quraysh, in exchange for confining his faith within the secrecy of his house. He refused to do so and opted for the protection of Allah and his messenger (peace be upon him).
