Notion is a great productivity tool for developers!
🧵Here are 10 simple tips & tricks that will help you get even more out of it. ( + video tutorials )
🏹 Use slash for shortcuts:
Just type slash and add anything to directly perform actions in shortcut, see more examples below.
🔔 Set reminder:
Plan and set reminder all at once, type </reminder> and set particular date or time.
🚧 Add columns in Notion:
You can divide your page in columns by simple dragging components and adjusting, and you can do this in multiple sections as well.
🍫 Color blocks for attention:
You can highlight the components by coloring them, plus adding different icons. Add a callout by typing </callout>. You will able to adjust these callouts as columns as well.
🅿️ Change fonts:
Change your font type, and layout of the page according to your convenience from the top-right corner of the page.
🕯️ Spice up your icons:
Head over to any GIF site you want, I’ll prefer giphy .com, and you can add it as your page icon to add life to it.
📺 GIF for notion cover:
You can find gifs on giphy .com, and then you can add it as your cover by simply uploading it.
🎚️ Multiple levels in the list:
Add levels and sublevels in a hierarchical way to express divisions better.
Hit ("- and then Space") to start a bullet list, and TAB to start a subList underneath that.
🔘 Make toggle list:
This one is quite useful if you have a lot to enter in the page, you toggle/minimize lists of specific category which are not currently in usage.
🕹️ Change text color quickly:
Enter your text and at the end add /<color> to change color of the written text.
That's the wrap!
