1/n Enough!
You should have cared to read what exactly Irfan Habib has produced based on Ain-i-Akbari.
Prof Habib had clearly spoken of subas not aligning mentioned in Italics, hence no Jama from them.
If you exclude them, total area is 0.85 million sq miles. Check explanation.
2/n In this case-2, I take out complete Kabul, as in overall "Jama" calculation, Kabul Sarkar too gives "0" Jama.
So technically, it shouldn't be part of Akbar's territory. In the case-2, the effective area of Akbar's territory would be 0.815 million square miles.
3/n The case is very well explained in the map given by prof Habib himself, showing the principalities which are not actually under control of Akbar.
That's the reason why many scholars, conclude the territory of Akbar to be 0.75 million sq miles in totality (one eg, 2nd pic)
4/n One of the paper presented in "Journal of world system research" has shown Martha Empire to be 250 million square KM, ie 0.97 million square miles.
It has used Taagerpera Lists as source along with the historical atlases in the library of the University of Connecticut.
5/n Hence even if I take case-1, by including Kabul Suba, though "Kabul Sarkar" gives 0 jama, Maratha Extent at its peak is higher, by at least (0.97/0.85)=1.14 times larger than the former.
& as per case-2, it is (0.97/0.815)=1.19 times larger.
6/n And If I take general opinion (eg, in picture), the Maratha Empire is (0.97/0.75)=1.29 times larger than Akbar's peak extent.
@Timurid_Mughal , from next time don't waste my time for your naive understanding. I did give you clue, "Ratio, Proportion" but you could only laugh
