99% of coaches drown under content generation.
It's a never-ending loop that leaves ZERO room for:
β€’ Skill dev
β€’ $$$ making tasks
β€’ Product creation
You can't scale when you're stuck managing.
Here’s how a NON-WRITER pumps out volume + cash-generating content:
Hi friends, my name is Hayden.
Content is my inbound bread and butter...
But so are sales, networking, product creation & ✨ living my freaking life ✨
Which means I can't afford to spend all-day-every-day just writing content.
I am NOT a natural writer, but I pump out weekly content like one.
β€’ 14 tweets
β€’ 2-3 emails
β€’ 1 thread
This system is so easy you can literally start integrating ASAP.
Give me 4 minutes of your time and you can cut off 8 hours/wk of mindless creative panic:
πŸ”΅ FOUNDATION
Most coaches see content as a box that they 'have' to check -- an obligation.
And so their audience treats them as disposable.
⚠️ Your content is like the 'oh shit' handle inside a car
When crushing life on fast mode, your content is what they grab onto.
It's their 1st true point of investment.
Don't neglect it by treating both your audience and them like an obligation...
If you want the content writing process to:
β€’ Suck less
β€’ Convert more
β€’ Take less time
Then you have to nurture a new relationship with content.
πŸ”΅ WHAT ARE YOU PULLING FROM?
Building a hot audience has nothing to do with searching for "hot" things to write about...
And EVERYTHING to do with experiencing "hot" things to write about.
So, where are you getting your content?
I have 4 active content generators built into my personal AND working day:
- Reading: 30 minutes every morning
- Storytelling: Log "stories" at the end of every week
- Leading: Always asking, "Where can I go 1st?"
- Mentorship: Always integrating what I'm being taught
πŸ”΅ STORY JOURNAL
I collect all of this in a content database or a 'story journal'.
I never pull content from an empty slate.
But what makes this system truly revolutionary for me?
Is how I actually utilize this database on a weekly basis...
πŸ”΅ WEEKLY VOLUME
I know what my content output is every week.
It's time for you to decide yours.
Once you commit to the volume that is right for your brand, create a blocking system that you can use to efficiently achieve it.
This is my biz from a πŸ¦πŸ‘€ view:
I'm always a week ahead of content, so I also have comfort + trust in overflow (eliminate creative anxiety).
Mondays are batch ideation days
Tues/Wed are fast draft days
Thurs are edit + schedule days
Sanity Saving Tip:
Try not to ideate, write and edit in the same blocks.
πŸ”΅ DAILY WRITING (MY SECRET SAUCE)
This piece has changed business for me.
I write every morning for 30 minutes...
Step 1 πŸ‘‰ 10 minutes FAST ideating (don't pick up your pen or edit)
Step 2 πŸ‘‰ 20 minutes of fast draft writing (again, don't stop to edit)
This gives your brain the chance to put ideas on paper without feeling inhibited.
It also keeps your brain on task, which eliminates this feeling of creative anxiety.
That 30-minute writing block is powerful...
But what makes it more powerful is this πŸ‘‡
πŸ”΅ OUTPUT GOALS + TIMERS
Support your writing time with an output goal + a timeframe.
"20 minutes to fast draft 8 tweets."
"20 minutes to polish these 3 emails."
"60 minutes to draft this thread."
Make your timer visible and allow yourself to get to the finish line.
By the time Thursday afternoon rolls around, I usually have:
β€’ 20-25 standalone tweets stored in drafts
β€’ 3 emails ready to send
β€’ 1 thread
That's 7-10 days of high-performing content that I get to play with, edit, and schedule.
I make quick work of editing and scheduling on Thursday afternoons after client calls.
That completely frees up Friday morning to work ON my business before I take the afternoon off:
β€’ Deep projects
β€’ Refining my offer
β€’ Enhancing client journey
β€’ Further education
I love writing content, and I will never hand this part of my business over.
But it didn't always used to be like that.
I used to PRAY for a copywriter...until I found out that the content YOU generate determines how hot your audience is πŸ”₯
TL;DR
- Fix your relationship with content
- Commit to volume
- Block your weeks
- Write daily
- Set timers + output goals
And go enjoy all the other magical pieces of business that add to your bottom line.
