JADON SANCHO vs Nottingham Forest ~ A THREAD 🧵
For the last 30 minutes during the 2-0 win at home against Nottingham Forest, Sancho came on and played in the number 10 position and once again Bruno went out to the right hand side.
Let’s take a look at his performance below ⬇️
Casemiro Chance- Sancho involved
Here United generate a good chance, you can see the positional rotations involved here, Casemiro should pass to Bruno who is in space but decides to shoot. Sancho does not force anything, keeps possession and United…
Generate a good chance. This is a BIG advantage to Sancho’s game- pass selection. Generally, he tends to make the correct decisions in the final third and this decision making coupled with link up play means he is suited to the half spaces and more central areas of the pitch.

He is very much a ball to feet player and…
United’s link up play will improve with him in the team, we played some really intricate football in the last 30 minutes of this game and he was a big part of it.
United Second Goal- Patient Build-Up
For this goal Sancho picks up a nice pocket of space and finds Bruno, who puts in a world class cross to Rashford, and Fred has a tap in. Another important contribution from Sancho, seeing the right pass.

With each other when they are on the pitch, as they both like the ball to feet and enjoy the short passing combinations that we saw in the second half of this game.
Sancho and Martial
Here Sancho fizzes the ball into Martial’s feet and he wants the return pass, but the attack breaks down. With Sancho picking up the ball in the half-spaces, it gives him the freedom to drift and look…
For combinations with team mates. This is definitely something I want to see again, having suggested this as a possible option before, I want to see more!
