By sexual immorality I mean all acts including but not limited to intercourse; a good word that would effectively capture what I mean is not in English; it's the greek word ฯฮฟฯฮฝฮตฮฏฮฑ. I could have made a list, but that could be a trap for some brethren I intend to help

So I mean that you might or might never have been involved in intercourse itself and are battling with sexual immorality of kinds that could or could not be mentioned amongst unbelievers.

It's been said many times and truthfully so, that the mind(heart) is the most important sexual organ.
Jesus alluded to this more than once.
In Mt. 5:28, he said that lusting after a woman is equal to committing adultery with her.

In Mt. 15:17-19, he said that adultery and fornication proceed from the heart.
Note that Jesus didn't say they proceed from body organs, because the organs will only execute what has been planned by the mind.
So the first step to victory is a heart reconfiguration.

A possible reason you're unable to win the battle is because you're fighting symptoms while leaving the primary cause to fester.

Two verses come in handy; they're from the same chapter. Ps. 119:9&11.
What ever comes out of the heart is only what already is installed in it.
The heart cannot give what it doesn't have.

If you begin to intentionally stuff your heart with God's word, you have a head start.
Not just reading the word of God, but surrounding your space with it.
Asides from reading your Bible, another thing that will work is; download an audio Bible, and play the NT while you sleep

What that will help you do is infuse the words of scripture into your subconscious.
Like you heard a song in passing and aeons later the lyrics of the song begin playing in your mind or just one phrase from the song, and you have no idea where you got that phrase from

The Holy Spirit will bring to your remembrance only things that are already in your Spirit.
