There's a growing pile of evidence that the west actively sabotaged peace in Ukraine in the first weeks of the conflict, which is an inexcusable and unforgivable thing that should enrage everyone.
Bennett's comments substantiate Ukrainian media reports that Boris Johnson intervened to prevent peace from breaking out in the early days of the war.
They also substantiate claims made by Bloomberg's @nfergus back in March of last year (the same month all this peace sabotage is said to have happened) that high-placed sources have informed him "the U.S. intends to keep this war going" to "bleed Putin".

@nfergus US officials have also been openly saying that this is the goal, not to have the war end in a treaty but in regime change in Moscow.
US officials continue to say this war facilitates US interests to this very day.
The empire is directly harming a longtime geostrategic rival at very little cost to itself in this proxy war. The question isn't why would it intervene to prevent peace from breaking out in the early days of the war, but why WOULDN'T it?
... I mean besides all the horrific bloodshed and devastation, of course. The empire has always been fine with cracking a few hundred thousand human eggs to cook the imperial omelette.
