Hi everyone. Here's a new update. PART 4: University Education, Unisex & Transgender, Quota ๐Ÿงต
Here I share my view as an engineering student, a private tutor, a conservative ex-feminist woman & a guardian (over a decade older than my sister)
@AntiLiberalGirl
PART 1: Development of English Medium Madrasa in Bangladesh ๐Ÿงต
PART 2: Women's Education ๐Ÿงต
1/ I'll start off with a story of a recent medical graduate (MBBS) I know. For the sake of anonymity, I'll name her Sara.
I asked Sara her view on euthanasia. She said she supported euthanasia.
Def: Euthanasia is the process of getting medical assistance in committing suicide.
2/ I asked Dr. Sara Khatun (MBBS, anon-name):
"Why do you support euthanasia?"
She replied:
"Because of the pain patients go through."
I asked her:
"Doesn't life have intrinsic value?"
She replied, without any rationale, passive aggressively:
"No, no, the pain."
3/ At that point I understood that Dr Sarah Khatun (MBBS, anon-name) is an unreasonable liberal.
She is a product of Bangladesh, a product of our university education.
She knows religion well. Her father is a religious doctor. I was appalled to see how she supported euthanasia
4/ Here's the catch though: Bangladeshi medical colleges don't teach euthanasia. How did Dr Sarah Khatun (MBBS, anon-name) end up as a retarded liberal? Moreover, she grew up in an environment of Salah, Quran, & the remembrance of Allah. So what role does university play, if any?
5/ This is called the slippery slope of education: a dangerous model of 1st wave liberal education in Bangladesh. This is the same situation that the West faced in post-1950 till 2010.
This is a crucial period where all unscientific ideas are "allowed" to be "self-learnt".
6/ Once the phase of 1st wave liberalism is over, unscientific ideas will be made mandatory by laws & research regulations in Bangladesh (2nd wave liberalism).
This process cannot, under any circumstances, take place.
7/ We, in Bangladesh, have less scientific censorship compared to the West. Yes, our quality of research is poor, but we do have a free thinking environment (with certain annoying restrictions).
8/ We can, under no circumstances, allow 2nd wave liberalism to flourish. And the cure is to remove 1st wave liberalism.
Universities have an obligation to make the religious sciences mandatory in order to combat hypocrisy.
9/ The recent transgender quota in Dhaka University is disheartening.
My parents & grandparents don't know the difference between transgender & intersex. The fault directly lies upon both left & right politicians, who lump all of these into one category: transgender.
10/ Transgender is someone who believes they're born into the wrong body, which is caused by a mental illness called "gender disphoria".
Intersex is someone who has abnormal sex chromosomes.
It is true that the intersex community is not treated well in Bangladesh.
11/ It is extremely difficult for intersex community to get jobs in Bangladesh. However, they also themselves choose to lump together with trans community so that they feel strong in terms of:
A. Activism
B. Gang activities to distribute funds in their communities
12/ This is the same trick of "lumping" that homosexuals used in the feminist movement to legalize homosexuality.
Lumping is an age-old of trick in the history of politics.
In order to prevent such lumping, intersex rights should be protected.
13/ I remember a time when I actually supported quotas.
I was a feminist communist at the time.
I remember how I would believe that having a mandatory 10% scholarship for all female PhD students will improve gender equality.
14/ Little did I understand that there's an entire world of qualitative stories behind quantitative representation.
I looked at random numbers, & then went ahaha, "that's why all men are d0g$".
Quota systems are cruel because they are anti-merit.
15/ Quotas are also cruel because they don't serve the vulnerable people they claim to support. Quotas spread stereotypes against women, religious minorities, & tribal minorities in Bangladesh. That is because quotas commit an intellectual persecution by encouraging laziness.
Alhamdullillah, this is the end of the series: "My take on women's, men's, & unisex education as a private tutor myself ๐Ÿงต"
