2) Beijing has made an outreach to Mozambique to develop a naval base at the strategically located Beira that helps China to conduct trade with Mozambique as well as Zambia & Zimbabwe.

3) In 2021, China expressed interest in building a naval base in Bata (Equatorial Guinea) to support & safeguard Chinese investments, oil and other commercial interests, especially in the African countries on the Atlantic coast -- South Africa, Namibia, Angola, Congo and Nigeria.
4) On the Eastern coast of Africa China is keen to resume expansion work at Tanzania's Bagamoyo Port. If China is successful in the establishment of naval bases in Mozambique & Equatorial Guinea it's possible that some more African ports may be converted into naval bases.
