If you’re above 18, you’ll want to know about these TIMELESS principles:
/thread
1/ Don't tell people what to do
Nobody wants some authoritarian ruler.
You're better off learning gentle persuasion.
-get super detailed with how you use language.
-could you do me a favor?
-would you like to learn how this was possible?
2/ Responsibility -> Meaning
People without purpose usually feel empty.
Even if it's materialistic, shallow purpose is better than none.
-identify what your alternative is.
This will help you see the importance in paving your path.
Often life is a choice of two hard choices, one is a bit better.
3/ Multi-tasking will scatter your awareness
Being capable of focusing attention is a SKILL.
This is how you get more done with less effort.
-seek clarity
Do one thing at a time, unless two task truly flow.
EX: Podcast while driving... For me, that's acceptable multi-tasking.
4/ Lead by example
If you want to help others, this is how.
Talk is cheap. Results get attention.
-understand human nature.
Most adults are children in grown bodies.
Children fail to listen, but don't fail to emulate.
5/ What you're not
It's often easier to know what we don't want then what we do.
If you don't want to be a fool, self educate daily.
-what I'm not
-needy
-arrogant
-greedy
-attached
-entitled
-foolish
-better than others
6/ Learn how energy works
We are like batteries!
We can be charged and drained.
-your assignment ;-)
Grab a piece of paper.
One side "things that drain me"
Line down the middle of page.
Other side "things that charge me"
Get after it!
