@satoverma @shardula23 @jaTAdhAr_I Ācārya-Abhiṣeka is found in the Īśvarasam̐hitā & comes right after the portion on Dīkṣā (which is allowed for all 4 Varṇas). Since the vidhi for Ācārya-Abhiṣeka contains no Varṇa-qualification, it may be understood that the Ācārya-Abhiṣeka is for all 4 Varṇas.
@satoverma @shardula23 @jaTAdhAr_I However, right after Ācārya-Abhiṣeka, the text goes to the subject of Parārtha Arcana (worship for others i.e. temple worship) vs Ātmārtha & states that only those born as Pāñcarātrikas in the gotras of Śāṇḍilya, Aupagāyana, Kauśika, Bhāradvāja & Mauñjyāyan can do the former.
@satoverma @shardula23 @jaTAdhAr_I Others (including non-pāñcarātrika Brāhmaṇas) can only do the latter (Ātmārtha worship in one’s own home or Maṭha).
@satoverma @shardula23 @jaTAdhAr_I However, the Pādmasam̐hitā appears to make any Brāhmaṇa initiated in the Pādmasam̐hitā eligible for Parārthārcana.
