jaati per se is not culture but it is the smallest vehicle of culture we hv. jaatis do come together to create kulas & sampradayas, like atoms create molecules and long chain molecules. i am not at all sure that we can erase the atoms and still have the long-chain molecules.

factions that believe that jaati has outlived its usefulness need to understand that without that smallest, most organic component, we hv to put in a lot of effort into designing an equivalent, artificial structure that will do the same job that jaati has been doing all this time

will it b in the form of the ummah or the church? with daily prayers/weekly congregations? imo, it is extremely dangerous 2 talk of erasing our most basic & organic component without having the artificial equivalent in place. nehruvians believe that the constitution is that thing

what do hindutvavadis believe is that thing? what institutions hv they built to hold and transmit that thing? why do the think ppl will believe in its sanctity?
america is the only country which has a grand narrative built on an understanding of the future.

all other ppls hv grand narratives built on the past, incl us.
following the american example bcoz we want to be politically correct, is a big mistake.
