I understand many people are working on their applications right about now.
I hope this thread will help with a few tips.

I hope this thread will help with a few tips.
For instance, the first one is the main criteria - Leadership.
Your main goal here is to communicate how you were recognized as a leading talent in the digital technology sector.
There are many ways to do this, depending on what you do or your own story.

Things you can talk about are:
- You can talk about your role in open-source projects.
- Any speaking engagements.
- How you are a thought leader in what you do.
- If you earn a high salary, you can discuss it.
- If you led initiatives at your company, let them know.

Next optional criteria(OC):
There are four options here; Innovation, recognition of work outside occupation, significant impact, and academic contributions.
Think of evidence that will support any of your OC in bright colors.

There is an exhaustive list of evidence in the Tech Nation guide, and they explain each goal with examples.
So, always go back to it to verify! Treat the guide like your manual or documentation.
It's the single source of truth.

Tip 2:
Understand that this is your own story and your own story alone. So only you know how to tell it.
I helped someone review their documents; they only have one line saying what they do and a screenshot below it.

I helped someone review their documents; they only have one line saying what they do and a screenshot below it.
I don't think that will work for the reviewer. Help the person who will review your documents know you much better. Tell your story!
It's a storytelling thing, and your descriptions, screenshots, links, annotations, etc., are tools at your disposal to tell a much better story.

Tip 3
Focus on telling stories that show your strengths and contributions in the digital sector.
For example, you only need two optional criteria. I chose recognition of work outside occupation and significant impact in my application.

I did that because they showed my strengths better than the others.
I don't have enough academic papers to portray my exceptional ability in the field by making academic contributions through research.

Tip 5
Don't joke with your recommendation letters.
This is not the part of the application that you can wing.
Find referees that carry weight and can vouch for your work & contributions.

This last tip is for guys that are just starting.
If you are starting your applications and need to know what documents/evidence you can submit.
Do this.
Take a pen and paper(I used Notion). Draw a timeline from when you got your first job in Tech or when you got into Tech to date.
Write out everything you've done within these times in bullet points, and write any evidence you can find to support them in front.

Here are some suggestions of places where you can find evidence.
- Your Phone Gallery (The Date timeline helps)
- Your Google Drive
- Your Emails
- Your Tweets
