This love is based on the foundation of God's prevenient love. “We love because he first loved us” (v. 19). His love is a stimulus, a motivation, and a moral source for us. As the first agent of love, who did not know how to love and could not receive us, God loved us and,
anxiously expecting our love, made His Son shed His blood for us. We cannot help but love such a God. He humbled himself and wanted to be reconciled with us. All heaven and earth must kneel at this amazing love of God. His love is the source of all our abundance. We are born
because of God's will (by His free will to love). "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). They are chosen to fully realize and know that they are called to be renewed
according to the will of God. God has put the seal of His holy love on our souls. This is so that the Lord may turn our hearts toward Him (2 Thessalonians 3:4, "And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.").
