He started the business of making patties from his home in 1978 together with his wife. He applied for a loan from MARA of RM7k but was rejected.
He seeded the business with his own capital of RM2k, started producing 200 burger patties a day.

Demand was poor as burger wasnβt a thing with Malaysians then. He persisted, setting up his own burger stall and tweaking the flavor to suit local taste buds.

His persistence paid off
From 200 patties a day, they grew to making 3,000 patties a day in their own home, to 100,000 patties a day in a factory and now making 1,000,000 patties a day in its newly expanded factory.
