One of the secrets to growth on Twitter is focusing on your profile conversion rate.
It's one of the most important games on social media that barely anyone is playing.
Here's how I've mastered the game and leverage it to my advantage, and how you can too:
🧵
Your growth on Twitter can be simplified down to 2 aspects:
1️⃣ Numer of profile clicks
2️⃣ Number that follow you (are converted)
This is the profile conversion ratio.
In other words, if 100 people click on your profile, how many people end up following you?
Even with amazing content, readers still need to click on your profile to follow you.
However, if you have an unappealing profile, they're less likely to follow.
Therefore, the correct branding & visuals are essential to becoming a profile conversion rate maxi.
Caring about your profile conversion is a form of leverage you build.
You will grow faster for the same amount of content if you increase your conversion rate.
So now you know why you should care, let me tell you what I've done to increase my conversion rate ↓
First up, and most importantly, are your visuals.
These are:
1️⃣ Your PFP & Banner
2️⃣ Your Pinned Tweet
Like myself, you may not be art orientated, why is why I suggest you re-invest in your brand immediately 👇
Let's break them down:
1️⃣ Your PFP & Banner
These are the first aspects any potential follower will see, so treat them with care.
At first glance, mine looks boring & uneventful...
But what does it really say?
• My name
• What I do
• Branding (Pepe of my PFP)
No confusion or misbranding.
Your PFP on the other hand holds even more importance.
This is what readers see before they even click on your profile.
Although there are optimizations you can do, my main suggestion is:
Choose a PFP and be ready to stick to that for months, even years.
Drastically changing your PFP is an easy way to reduce your brand's recognition.
Many also fall into the trap of putting their PFP as an NFT they will eventually want to sell.
Instead, why not create something more custom or an image that you know you will never sell?
This leads us to the third visual, your pinned tweet.
Not often talked about, your pinned tweet is a perfect opportunity to give potential followers a one-click action to more of your content.
Why make them work for it?
Instead, minimize the friction for them to follow you.
3️⃣ Your description
This is your chance to explain what you do.
A mistake many make is overcomplicating their bio, trying to include everything they do.
Instead, pick what you want t be known for, a clear value add.
Ask yourself: What do I provide to my audience?
In my bio, you can see:
• What I'm trying to do (Simplify DeFi & Help you write)
• What I believe in (Real Yield)
• What I'm building (@FungiAlpha)
Lastly, I have a linktree connected with 8+ links for my followers to browse through, instead of just one.
and that's a wrap, I hope I helped.

Good luck on your journey 🤝
