‘Magic Box’ to make learning interesting in the primary classes...🪄
What is this Magic box?
How will it revolutionize the primary education? A thread🧵
Classroom learning in India is getting a major revamp! The Union government has prepared a new curriculum framework for children aged 3-8, which focuses on improving foundational skills through toy-based learning, puppets, and story cards.
The Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, recently released a "magical box" full of learning and teaching materials for this new curriculum. It even includes QR codes to give teachers access to additional resources like poems, storybooks, and flashcards.
The new teaching materials align with National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Skills, 2022 and aim to create a textbook-free environment.
According to a concept note by the Education Ministry, children aged 3-6 learn best through activities like talking, listening, painting, drawing, singing, dancing, and even running and jumping!
Teachers will play a crucial role in the new curriculum, engaging students in conversations, storytelling, music and movement, arts and crafts, games, and field trips. The framework also lays emphasis on oral language development and math games.
This innovative approach to learning is a key focus area of the National Education Policy, which aims to improve foundational skills for all students. We hope to see more such initiatives in education that make learning fun, engaging, and effective!
That's a wrap!
