Here are my 7 GOLDEN tips for a successful launch: ๐งต๐งต
I launched WideBundle in May 2020. I wasn't even on the App Store.
And it was only in August that I launched it.
4 months later. In December 2020. We were already at $10K MRR!
Even if the app and the context (Covid) were great, the way I launched was also crucial

1. Don't add too many features
We're tempted to add many features. But your users won't find your app "perfect".
- Add a few features
- Put the app cheap
- Listen for every feedback
Build an app people need not the app you want to have.

2. Ask for reviews again and again
In the early days, reviews are gold.
- Contact every single user who installs your app (live chat)
- Help them even if they don't have a problem
- Ask for reviews
Reviews are the fuel in the early days.

3. Target long-tail keywords
If you have an upsell app don't go for "upsell". It's too competitive.
- Find alternative keywords
- Use them in your listing.
You better rank 1 for a small keyword. Than to rank 100 for a big keyword.

4. Target specific countries
Translating your listing is the biggest hack. I translated my listing into French in the beginning.
You attract more people from these countries. And it's easier to rank for competitive keywords.

5. Get early users before launching
The first reviews are essential to show Shopify that your app is GOLD
1- Get at least 10-15 users
2- Go live on the App Store
3- Ask for reviews immediately
It will give you a boost

6. Launch with an influencer
Sometimes you only need a bit of help.
1- Contact 20 influencers
2- Offer them 70% for all the installs they bring
3- 1 or 2 might accept

7. Great listing page
Your listing should clearly show the value, be memorable and we have to understand quickly what your app does.
Some test:
Tell someone to read your page for only 3 seconds. They should be able to tell you what your app does.

Use powerful colors and simple logos to make it memorable.
A powerful branding can be enough for them to choose your app.
