The basic thrust of Swami Prabhupada is correct. India became free because of Subhas Chandra Bose. Ahimsa was no factor, as was accepted by Sir Clement Attlee, the British PM who took the decision to free India. @RadharamnDas
The myth that non-violence freed India is a state-sanctioned hoax. India's ruling class and the elites back it for several reasons, one of them being its acceptability in the high society, especially in the West.
