Limak to Partner with advisor companies for Spotify Camp Nou Project. Despite their lack of experience in building large football stadiums, Limak has sought the expertise of two specialized companies, Robert Bird Consultancy and Gaysha Limited.
The former will oversee the planning and structures of the new stadium, having previously worked on other major sports venues like Emirates Stadium and Wembley, while Gaysha will be responsible for the engineering design of the project.
The Turkish company is set to start construction from next June. With more than 200 projects valued at over $25 billion (€23.642 billion) and 46,000 employees worldwide, Limak is considered the second biggest builder in Turkey.
They specialise in the construction of hotels, highways, airports, and hydroelectric plants.
Limak's award for the remodeling of Camp Nou came after beating two major associations of construction companies in the competition.
Barcelona was convinced by the price and execution deadlines promised by the Turkish construction company, which guarantees that the work will be finished "before June 2026." However, the team's return to Camp Nou could come before November 29, 2024, the 125th birthday date.
The project involves an investment of around €1.5 billion, paid over 35 years with a grace period of the first five years, during which only the interests will be paid. Demolition work began last November.
