The Financial Times has valued Manchester United at just $1.6bn (£1.3bn/$1.5bn) right now, a mere fraction of the $6bn (£5bn/€5.7bn) to $7bn (£5.8bn/€6.6bn) asking price. Even going off the lower end of that, it's a staggering drop of 73 per cent.
According to Sky Sports, there are concerns that the widely unpopular Glazers regime will only pursue a minority investment.
Although the Glazers have never explicitly stated their intention to sell the club, they appear to have learned what their compatriots at FSG already knew - that this is not the optimal time to sell a major football club.
