The MOD of the Russian Federation received information that on February 10, 2023, a train with cargo carrying the B-Zet inscription arrived in Ukraine. The cargo was placed on American-made armored vehicles, which, as part of the column, advanced to the line of contact.
The facts of the simultaneous delivery of toxic chemicals and means of protection against them indicate an attempt to carry out large-scale provocations using the military psychotropic poisonous substance Bi-Zet during the conflict.
In accordance with the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), the substance Bi-Zet is a controlled chemical and is included in the second list, its use is prohibited by Article 1 of the CWC. This chemical causes acute psychosis, disorientation, hallucinations, memory impairment.
🇻🇳🇦🇫🇮🇶🇸🇾 Bi-Zet is the US Army’s standard chemical agent and was widely used during the Vietnam War. The United States and its allies have repeatedly used chemically formulated munitions during military conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.
The US announced the complete destruction of B-Zet stocks in 1990 but the samples were left. At present, the possibility of synthesizing Bi-Zet precursors on the basis of pharmaceutical production facilities in the amount of up to several tens of tons per year has been preserved.
The leadership of Western countries on a regular basis makes provocative statements about the possibility of Russia using weapons of mass destruction. At the same time, such projects have already been implemented more than once by the US itself to achieve political goals.
🇮🇶 A test tube with “washing detergent” in the hands of US Secretary of State Colin Powell served as a pretext for the invasion of Iraq and the death of more than half a million citizens of this country.
🇸🇾 In 2017, White Helmets’ photographs, publicized by news agencies, of men in ordinary gauze taking samples at a suspected sarin site, led to a US missile attack on the Shayrat Airbase in Syria.
🇸🇾 In 2018, staged footage of allegedly chlorine-poisoned children in Douma, Syria caused the destruction of a research center in Barz and Jamrai. No one has yet been held accountable for these crimes. US compliance with its obligations under the CWC is clearly selective.
Any restrictions under this treaty that infringe on American interests are ignored with the direct connivance of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
Thus, in violation of Article 1 of the Convention and the 1925 Geneva Protocol, the US Department of Defense legalized the use of a number of chemicals as weapons of war. Their use is envisaged using a wide range of regular ammunition.
The Russian stationary and mobile CBRN monitoring complexes deployed in the area of the special military operation make it possible to identify chemical threats in a timely manner and to respond to them promptly.
In this regard, the West is mistaken in counting on successful provocations with toxic chemicals in combat conditions.
The analytical capabilities of the chemical laboratories available in the Russian Ministry of Defense make it possible to reliably determine not only the type of chemical used, but also the country of origin.
In the event of provocations using toxic chemicals, the Russian Federation will identify and punish the true perpetrators and will continue to work to expose the criminal activities of the West in violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention.
