7 Google Ads changes coming in 2023 you need to know:
🧡
1. No More Similar Audience
This was a great way to refine your audience quickly.
But now, you have until May 2023 to add Google’s Similar Audiences to your campaigns.
Start looking into "Customer Match" and "Optimized targeting" as a replacement.
2. New Business Name & Logo And Assets
Verified advertisers can now get their business name and logo on the SERP.
- Brand protection
- Stand out more
Look into verifying your brand early to take advantage.
3. Performance Max Campaign
pMax replaced Local and Smart Shopping campaigns.
Google is migrating those still using these to pMax.
With pMax you get more reach, placements and automation.
The caveat is you'll need more creatives and a slight change in strategy.
4. Voiceover Feature For Video Ads
You can now add a voice-over to your existing Youtube video ads.
Voice-over can increase your ad recall by 25% and lower your CPA by 50%.
Choose from 8 different voices by providing script, preview and edits.
5. New Audio Ads
These ads are designed to target customers listening to music or podcasts through YouTube.
6. Expanded Text Is Gone
Google killed off expanded text.
The new default ad type is RSA (responsive search ad).
Has the same capabilities across platforms but more.
The key thing is to maximize assets in your RSA library for it to find better-converting ads.
7. Increased Cost Per Lead
It has increased by 91% for industries.
Commercial intent queries also had lower conversion rates across the board.
But you don’t need to worry.
I'll help you optimize your campaigns with my threads.
That’s everything.
