I love this. So important for youth to interact with aged family in this way. Keeps things real. It’s so grounding and instructive for a young person.
Not to mention for the old person. And there’s some karma here too. This old woman obviously did something right.

I’m not saying that old people who aren’t supported in this way are necessarily bad people. Life isn’t fair. Sometimes good parents have bad children. Sometimes the children don’t have the resources to care privately for their parents. It’s a form of wealth to be able to do this.

What I am saying is that you have no chance of being surrounded by the love you want at the end of your life unless you gave it when it counted decades earlier.
